Hace 20 años, Spotify comenzó a reproducir música. Y para celebrar el gran aniversario del servicio de streaming, por primera vez, el jueves (23 de abril), Spotify compartió su lista de los artistas, canciones, álbumes, pódcasts y audiolibros más reproducidos en su historia.
Algunos de los artistas que lideran las categorías musicales no sorprenderán a nadie. Era de esperarse que nombres como Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd y Ed Sheeran ocuparan un lugar destacado, dado su dominio durante la era del streaming. Por supuesto, también hay muchos artistas veteranos en la lista de los más reproducidos de todos los tiempos, como Rihanna, Eminem, Coldplay y Kanye West. Pero la mezcla verdaderamente interesante se encuentra en el listado de los 20 álbumes más reproducidos.
Allí es donde el exitoso álbum de Benito, Un Verano Sin Ti (2022), con un récord de 22.000 millones de streams hasta la fecha, ocupa el No. 1, seguido por el álbum Starboy (2016) de The Weeknd, ≠ (Deluxe) de Ed Sheeran, Sour de Olivia Rodrigo y otro álbum de The Weeknd, After Hours. Abel también lidera la lista de las canciones más reproducidas, con “Blinding Lights” en el No. 1, seguido por “Shape of You” de Sheeran, “Sweater Weather” de The Neighbourhood, “Starboy” de The Weeknd junto a Daft Punk y “As It Was” de Harry Styles.
